Your Admission

On admission, present to the reception desk and after completing Admission details, you will be shown to your room by the Admissions Officer who will also provide you with an orientation of the hospital and explain routines relevant to your treatment, safety and security.

New Farm Clinic offers a high standard of accommodation with both private and shared rooms. All rooms have ensuite facilities. While we will make every endeavour to provide your accommodation preference, clinical needs will determine the accommodation you are allocated.

You may be required to move rooms during your hospitalization.

General

  • Casual, comfortable day wear
  • Walking shoes or runners
  • Hat
  • Night attire
  • Toiletries
  • Small amount of money for personal items.

Electrical Items Policy

The only electrical items you are permitted to bring with you are:

  • A small clock radio
  • Discman/walkman (with earphones)
  • Mobile phone charger

Hair dryers are available for use on the Units. TVs are available for hire.

Elderly Patients

Please bring in any aids that are usually required i.e. walking frame, hearing aides or visual aids.

Patient Motor Vehicle Policy

Patients are not permitted to drive a vehicle whilst an inpatient. If your vehicle cannot be returned home by a relative or friend, please hand your keys to nursing staff who will secure them for the duration of your admission. You will be required to sign a form agreeing to these conditions.
