About New Farm Clinic

New Farm Clinic is a 90-bed specialist psychiatry facility fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. It is located 3km from the CBD in the Brisbane suburb of New Farm. The Clinic is affiliated with the University of Queensland and offers a range of inpatient and day patient programs that specialise in the treatment of mood disorders, eating disorders, psycho-geriatrics and general acute psychiatry.

The hospital is owned by Ramsay Health Care, which is one of the largest private hospital operators in Australia and now with facilities in Indonesia and the UK. The company is recognized for providing excellence in health care and is a leader in the private psychiatric sector.

New Farm Clinic was purpose built in 1986 as a replacement for an older facility, and has recently undergone a major refurbishment and expansion program with an additional 16 beds, additional carparking, a new ECT suite, group rooms and executive suites.

Also established within the grounds are Consulting Suites which accommodate specialist psychiatrists. There are currently 47 psychiatrists with admitting privileges to New Farm Clinic.
