Individual Psychology Sessions

New Farm Clinic has been providing individual psychological assessment and treatment to outpatients since August 2008. This is in line with Medicare guidelines for the provision of up to 12 sessions (involving focused psychology strategies) per calendar year to eligible individuals who are referred by a GP or a Psychiatrist. The service is also available to those on Work Cover and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) cardholders.

Referrals should be accompanied by a GP Mental Health Plan or a letter from a Psychiatrist. You need not have had an admission at New Farm Clinic to access this service, although concurrent participation in one of our 5 Day Programs is often recommended.
