Visitors are most welcome and encouraged; However, please ensure that you do not visit during program session times. Children must be directly supervised by visitors at all times.
- Weekdays – 4.00pm to 8.00pm
- Weekends – 10.00am to 8.00pm
- Public Holidays – 10.00am to 8.00pm
Visitors are welcome to join patients for meals within the above times except for the patients on the eating disorders program. Meal vouchers can be purchased from Reception. On the weekends, visitors can pay catering staff directly (correct money is required: $5 for sandwiches & $10 for a hot meal).
It is important for visitors to be mindful that they may bring an infection into the hospital when visiting. It is therefore advised that all visitors with symptoms of illness such as influenza, gastroenteritis or of a transmissible illness (such as Measles, Whooping Cough, Rubella etc) refrain from visiting until they are symptom free for 48 hours. More information on specific illnesses can be obtained from the Nurse Unit Manager or the Infection Control Coordinator.
Hand washing is still the most effective method of preventing infection. Hand sanitizers are conveniently located throughout the Clinic.
For other information, please see Visitor Information brochure.
